Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at my website.
For me, successful therapy is based on developing a strong therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and client. That’s why my focus is on building the strongest possible relationship with you.
The modern world is a fast-moving, highly competitive environment which can be very stressful. We have learned to look after our physical well-being through exercise and diet, but very few of us take any pro-active care of our mental well-being.
Because we are all unique, I believe we have different needs when looking for counselling. As an experienced and qualified, integrative counsellor, I can support you, whatever those needs are.
I am passionate about the benefits counselling can provide: it can have a dramatic effect on our mental well-being, helping us to make better choices in life.
Many of us struggle with anxiety and depression. As children we may have learned to be a certain way, and developed certain behaviour patterns or character traits that we once used to shield us from harm, which now, as adults, can be counter-productive. Counselling provides the opportunity for exploring and understanding this. And it can help us find a fresh way forward. This self-discovery can lead to a more fulfilling life, with more meaningful relationships.
I have a broad knowledge of psychotherapeutic models and my “integrative” approach integrates various schools of thought, strongly influenced by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by adapting the way you think and behave. Central to my way of working is the therapeutic relationship which is fundamental if the therapy is going to work.
I have a naturally warm, open, welcoming, down-to-earth approach. I am told that I manage the therapy process in an insightful and intuitive manner. I encourage you to get in touch for a free 20 minute phone or video call, so you can get a sense of me and whether you think we would work well together.
I am based in Central London at Nine Elms, Battersea. I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethics and principles.
